About This Walk
Back for another year leading a photowalk through one of my favorite places to photograph : San Francisco Chinatown! ❤️📸
This year, we’ll approach Chinatown as our editorial fashion set, with the fabulous Grant Avenue Follies—affectionately known as “the Glammas”—joining us as our model muses. This beloved senior performance troupe from San Francisco Chinatown is known for their glamorous style, personality and incredible energy. We’ll work on environmental portraiture, posing, movement, finding interesting light, and using the streets and architecture of Chinatown to create photographs that feel intentional and editorial.
We’ll begin inside the Clarion Performing Arts Center, head outside to photograph around Chinatown, then return to Clarion to wrap up, create a few more portraits and talk photography.

Bring whatever camera you have and come ready to create, experiment with lighting or natural light is also ok, and see Chinatown a little differently.
