The Contest Is Open!

2026 Photowalk Gallery & Contest

Your walk is over. Now comes the fun part. Go through your camera roll (or your memory card) and pick your favorite photo from the walk. Retouch it as much as you like, or leave it all natural. Either way works. Then sign in and upload it right here. Your photo joins shots from walks in cities all over the world, and every one of them was taken on the same day by photographers walking for the kids at Springs of Hope Kenya. Enter your photo, or just take a look at what everyone’s shared.

One gallery. One Contest. One winner. 10 Finalists

How The Contest Works This year:

  1. You walk, you shoot, and entries open at 10 AM EDT.

  2. Last day to enter. Entries close at 11:59 PM EDT.

  3. Judging

Scott goes through the gallery and picks 10 finalists.

  4. The winner is announced live on The Grid at 1 PM EDT.

Walked with us before?

Here’s what’s different.

We simplified things. There’s no separate leader contest or walker contest this year, and leaders don’t pick a winner from their walk anymore. Everybody enters the same gallery, and Scott picks the finalists and the winner from the whole thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Leaders were already doing a ton of work behind the scenes, and running a contest on top of hosting a walk was a lot to ask. So this year, leaders get to just enjoy the day and take care of their group. And they can enter the contest just like everybody else.
Absolutely. Crop it, tweak it, go black and white, go wild in Lightroom. Or leave it exactly how it came out of the camera. Totally up to you. The only rule is that it has to be a photo you took on your 2026 walk.

Yup. Just sign in with the same account you used to register (walker or leader, either one works). Once you’re in, the upload form opens right here on this page. Not signed in? You’ll see a sign-in button right where the form would be.

Oh, there are prizes. Good ones. All 10 finalists and the overall winner are getting something, but Scott’s keeping the details under wraps until the big reveal on The Grid on October 29 at 1 PM EDT. (Trust us, you’ll want to tune in.)

In order for all walkers to have the same opportunities to capture images during the walk, the following rules must be followed:

  1. You may only submit one photo
  2. Collages aren’t allowed, as they are technically more than one photo. The following editing is allowed (but not required):
    1. Contrast & saturation adjustments.
    2. Color to B&W transitions.
    3. Removal of distracting elements.
    4. Creation of HDR & Panoramas.
    5. Infrared
    6. Use of Plug-ins such as ON1, Boris FX, etc.
    7. Adding watermarks.
  3. Photos must be taken during the walk (not before or after)

Nope, just one. We know, we know. Picking your favorite is the hardest part. But that’s kind of the fun of it, too. Scroll through everything, take your time, and go with the one you can’t stop looking at.

No worries, this happens a lot. Just export a JPG that’s 2500 pixels (or less) on the long edge. That’ll almost always get you under the 3mb size limit, and it’ll still look great in the gallery.

This year’s Worldwide Photo Walk contest lives right here on our own site, no third-party platform needed. Once the walk is over, we’ll share the gallery link here so you can submit your best shot for a chance to be selected.

Absolutely not! The contest is just a fun addition to the walk that allows us to pay it forward to our walkers for participating in this event that allows us to give so generously to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya.

Tune in to The Grid on October 29 at 1 PM EDT. That’s where Scott’s announcing the winner live. Grab a coffee, pull up a chair, and cross your fingers.
