About This Walk
Mahebourg, 10 years later…
This year marks the 10th edition of the local Worldwide PhotoWalk. Back in 2016, we had the first walk in Mahebourg.
Mahebourg is a playground for different photography styles: landscape, architecture, culture, street, portraiture, and a mix of anyone of them.
How does it work?
We will all meet at the memorial on the Waterfront for a briefing and a group photo before the walk itself. Then, walkers will be free to move independently, in groups or in solo, without any predefined itinerary, only going along with the feeling. It is also an opportunity to create new friendships, and for beginners to obtain tips from seasoned professionals.
Who can participate?
Anyone. From the hobbyist to the professional. This event is family friendly. Photos can be taken with a smartphone or with a professional camera. The gear does not matter – only the love of photography is important.
After the walk
After photography comes food! After the walk, we will arrange to go for lunch somewhere. There are plenty of places to eat around Mahebourg and this will be decided on the spot.
What to bring?
Your camera, of course! In whatever form, including an old smartphone or a disposable film camera; even a toy camera will do.
Protective gear for you and your camera. It might be sunny, windy, or rainy. A few mosquitoes might also join the walk. So, get ready for all of that.
Your bottle of water and a few snacks as you might get carried away in your walk and end up in a far spot.

I have been producing images for 30+ years. Hosting the Worldwide PhotoWalk is both a privilege and a source of joy, as it gives me the opportunity to meet new people every year who share the same passion about photography.
