Here’s the thing. You didn’t walk for the prizes. You walked for the kids at Springs of Hope Kenya, and that’s the best part of this whole day. But we’re not going to pretend the prizes aren’t fun. Scott’s going through every photo in the gallery and picking 10 finalists and one overall winner, and every one of them is getting some seriously good stuff from our sponsors. What is it? We’re saving that for the big reveal, live on The Grid on October 29 at 1 PM EDT. Get your best shot from the walk in by October 17 and you’re in the running.

With walks hosted in countries far and wide—and an amazing turnout of passionate walkers—we’re already seeing a powerful impact for the Springs of Hope Orphanage thanks to your generosity and support. Why We Walk
This wasn’t just a walk. This was a walk to Raise Money For Kids Who Need It!
This wasn’t just a photo walk with a charity attached. It was a worldwide fundraiser, powered by photographers for Springs of Hope Kenya, a nonprofit home caring for children who’ve lost their parents or survived abuse and neglect. Many arrive malnourished, with no one left to care for them. Springs of Hope gives them a safe family, an education, and a real shot at the future they deserve. You showed up, you walked, and you came home with some great shots (plus a few thousand steps you probably didn’t plan on). Here’s the thing: the walk may be over, but the celebration doesn’t have to be. This year’s Worldwide Photo Walk shirt is the perfect way to remember the day, and let’s be honest, you earned it.
The best part? 100% of the profits from the shirt sales will go directly to help out the kids at the Springs of Hope Orphanage. What better reason to purchase than that?
Picture a casual photography event where photographers gather, usually in a downtown area or trendy part of town. They walk around, take photos, enjoy each other’s company, and support a good cause. After the walk, participants can enter their best photo into a friendly contest.
Springs of Hope Kenya is an incredible nonprofit that provides food, shelter, education, and love to orphaned children. It’s more than just a place to live—it’s a place where kids can feel safe, supported, and empowered to build a better future.
We walk to help raise funds and awareness for their mission. Every $1 donation—and every step you take—helps provide real support for the kids who call Springs of Hope home.
In order for all walkers to have the same opportunities to capture images during the walk, the following rules must be followed:
Yes, absolutely! Leaders submit right alongside everyone else. There’s no separate leader category anymore, just one central gallery, so your shot gets the same shot at being picked as every other entry.
Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk exists to support Springs of Hope Kenya, a home and school for orphaned, abandoned, and abused children. We don’t make any money from this event, all proceeds go directly to Springs of Hope Kenya, minus standard payment processing fees.
This year, we’re asking every participant to donate at least $1 to walk. It’s a small step with a big impact, and you’re welcome to give more if you’re able.
Please note: some walk locations (like zoos or national parks) may have separate admission fees not covered by your walk registration.

Why yes, yes there is! Everyone that registers and participates in a walk is eligible to enter to win some amazing prizes from our industry related sponsors. To find out what those prizes are check back here often, as we will post those as soon as they are confirmed. But, we can promise they will be great!
This year’s Worldwide Photo Walk contest lives right here on our own site, no third-party platform needed. Once the walk is over, we’ll share the gallery link here so you can submit your best shot for a chance to be selected.
Scott will personally review every submission and select the finalists and the overall winner.
