About This Walk
I am proud to announce this year’s 16th running of the Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk at Northport Harbor/Village will be running on October 4th from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Many of you have attended this event in the past and with the relations with residents and local businesses, we will be having a real enjoyable event.
The meeting place will be at Seymour’s Boatyard as they will have coffee, doughnuts, and other surprises for all the photo walkers during check in. Check in begins at 8:30AM as we plan to start the photo walk at 09:30AM. We will take a head count for optional luncheon at Northport Shipwreck Diner on Main Street for 1:00pm at their outdoor patio.
The walk will include the following areas of interest:
- Farmer’s Market from 8am to 1pm (Say hi to Tom at Dude’s Gourmet)
- Northport Harbor and Park (lots of friendly dogs)
- Boat Rides by Seymours Boatyard
- Carports on Bayview Ave
- Woodbine Ave walk to Scudder Park
- Main Street (Northport Sweet Shop/Fire Dept/ Northport Hotel / Sand City Brewery / Small Retail stores / John Engleman Theatre).
** We will be running a Sunrise Photowalk that will take place at Crab Meadow Beach early in the morning for those who would like an opportunity to capture a morning sunrise. We will have a few of our Saturday morning Cameras & Coffee Photo Walkers be on hand for the Crab Meadow Beach Sunrise Shoot at 6AM as the Blue Hour will begin. This is optional to attend. Feel fre to inquire about attending.

Hi everyone,
The weather is looking very favorable as we can expect sunny skies and temperatures in the 70’s.
One of the activities for the walk is the boat rides along Northport Harbor. The Landing Operators are top notch and it is indeed a wonderful experience to ride along the harbor. Jsaut ask to please tip the operators for the rides. They always greatly appreciate it!

Almost a week away folks. Welcome everyone as we now welcome Fall season.
We are having a Sunrise Photowalk at Crab Meadow Beach to start the day. All welcome to attend. You just have to be there before 6:20AM. Will keep you posted on conditions.
As of now, we have 28 walkers signed up and It looks like we will probably end up with 30 walkers in total.

I would just like to clarify on the flyer posted on Facebook pages, Northportharborphotographers and camerasandcoffee about the Sunrise shoot at Crab Meadow Beach. It’s optional to attend.
Check in begins at 9AM as you will be greeted with coffee, donuts, and other baked goodies.

So we are up to 25 walkers for the Northport Harbor/Village walk. Thank you one and all. Yes, we’re still open for those whio may want to invite friends as well.
Seymours is all set for check in and there will be boat rides available. With that said, please tip the operators when you go out adn I promise you will enjoye every minute of the ride along the harbor.

Just a few updates to share:
For the Sunrise shoot at Crab Meadow Beach, the Blue Hour begins at 6:16AM. I would recommend arriving before 6AM to allow time to set up your preferred location. A tripod would be recommended. Afterwards, we will head to Northport Village for early coffee at Southdown Coffee.
For Saturday afternoon at Northport Shipwreck Diner, I need to provide then the # of photo walkers that will attend so they can set space accordingly for us in the patio area. If you’re one of the lucky winners of the Laug Auf swag and wish to change for a proper size, you can walk right over and they will take care of it.

It’s nice to see a change in the route from previous years, though I will miss that one house with the colorful Adirondack chairs overlooking the water where so many of us posed at that gorgeous house along Bayview!
As for the carports on Woodbine Ave, are we going to be walking to the edge of the overlooks but not going down the stairways there?
Since the sidewalks are opposite the carports, everyone should be extra careful crossing Woodbine as cars can go by quickly. Also, those doing a mix of waling and driving should give some thought to where they want to park and whether they want to relocate their cars along the route.
