About This Walk

We will explore the vibrant River North Arts District (RiNo). This is a colorful neighborhood with lots of public art, bars, restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, etc. Perfect for urban and street photography.

I have lived in Denver for over forty years and have shot in this neighborhood multiple times as well as led several photo walks in the area. Both the neighborhood and the people are quite photogenic. We will mosey up and down the streets and alleys for a couple hours before we gather at a nearby brewery that has a full bar, food, and non-alcoholic options and is suitable for folks of all ages.

As always, please dress for the weather and know there will be lots of walking on hard and uneven surfaces. In my experience, the best focal lengths in this area are wide to 85mm or so, although I’ve shot at 135mm with favorable results.

NOTE: I shifted the start time from 2 to 5:30 to situate the walk closer to the golden hour and to accommodate those who might be taking the Zine Making Class at CPAC earlier in the afternoon.

  1. I thought I signed up for this walk, yet received no confirmation. Where can I confirm?

  2. I don’t see a spot to un-walk but I’ll not make it the evening. Many thanks for setting this up and apologies for the late note here. – Tim
