All Set for Tomorrow — Let’s Make It a Great Walk!October 4th, 2026
Hi everyone!
We are all set for tomorrow’s Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk right here in BGC, and I’m super excited to explore, shoot, and connect with all of you.
Before we hit the pavement, here are a few quick reminders to help you prepare for a great walk:
Prep Your Gear: Double-check that your camera batteries are fully charged tonight and your memory cards have plenty of free space.
Rest & Fuel Up: Get a good night’s sleep and eat a solid meal before heading over so you have plenty of energy for the walk.
Beat the Heat: BGC can get quite hot and very humid. I highly recommend bringing a small hand towel and a portable fan to keep cool.
Rain-Ready: There’s a chance of rain in the forecast, so don’t forget to pack a compact umbrella or a protective cover for your camera gear just in case.
Mindset: Remember to take what the street gives. Don’t overthink it—just observe, capture the candid moments as they unfold, and most importantly, have fun!
If you have any last-minute questions or need to reach out, you can drop a comment here in the discussion or check the official FB event page for updates:

Thank You for an Incredible BGC Photowalk!October 3rd, 2026
What an absolute blast yesterday was! I want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who came out, walked the BGC route with me, and brought such incredible energy. I truly appreciate every single one of you, and I honestly feel so blessed and inspired to have spent the day shooting alongside such a talented group of award-winning street photographers.
I hope you all had just as much fun as I did. Beyond capturing great frames, I hope you walked away having learned new things – not just about photography, but about how we look at the world and the unique perspectives life offers through our lenses.
A Quick Note on the Contest:
If you haven’t yet, please submit one photo to the contest and don’t be shy!
> Judges always have a very different way of looking at images, and honestly, you can never truly predict what they are looking for.
> Your favorite or not so favorite shot just might be the one that catches their eye, so put your work out there with confidence!
I sincerely hope we get to shoot together again in future photowalks. As for me? I’ll definitely be back right here for next year’s BGC photowalk, and I can’t wait to see you all out on the streets again.
Keep shooting and keep inspiring!
Quick Heads-Up About Permits & Street-Smart Shooting Tips in BGCOctober 2nd, 2026
Hi everyone! Just a quick logistical note for tomorrow.
I did reach out to the BGC estate for clearance/permit to shoot, but they haven’t gotten back. Not to worry though for BGC is generally photography friendly – we are totally good to go without a permit, like all my previous Kelby photowalks in BGC.
To keep everything smooth and hassle-free though, here are a few quick guidelines to keep in mind:
> If a guard or marshal approaches and asks what you’re shooting: Don’t mention “photowalk.” Just keep it casual and say it’s for your personal use, or you’re practicing with your camera, or you’re a visitor capturing everyday life in BGC. They’re mostly just checking to make sure it isn’t an unauthorized commercial shoot.
> Be friendly and respectful: Always flash a smile and be polite to the guards and marshalls. You’d be surprised how cool and approachable they actually are, they’re just doing their jobs to keep everyone safe and orderly.
> Watch the lingering in sensitive spots: Areas like Forbestown Road can get a bit more attention from security if people stand around for too long. If you’re waiting for a specific frame, drop your camera down or pretend to check your phone, and only bring it back up when your subject is right where you want them.
> Keep a low profile: The smaller the camera, the less “professional/commercial” it looks, and the less attention it draws. If you’re running a compact setup, lean into it and try to blend in with the crowd!
Can’t wait to see how everyone captures the city tomorrow. Let’s do this!
