About This Walk
Hi! My name is Anu and I’m excited to be leading this year’s Worldwide Photowalk in Downtown Santa Ana! As a photographer based in Orange County, I love capturing both people and places in a way that tells their unique stories. My work often takes me into vibrant communities, and Santa Ana’s Artist Village and Historic District are some of my favorite local gems—full of character, color, and history and everyday life.
This walk is for all levels of photographers—from beginners with a phone camera to seasoned pros.
Our walk: We will begin in the Artist Village and explore some of the historic landmarks in downtown Santa Ana, like art murals by local artist in Art Alley,The Vogel Victorian haunted house,The Dr. Willella Howe-Waffle house, The Old Orange County Courthouse, The Frieda Theatre etc. We will make our way through the streets that offer a mix of architecture, murals, and cultural charm. It’ll be a relaxed stroll with plenty of photo opportunities and lots of little details waiting to be noticed.
We’ll wrap up at the lively 4th Street Market, where you can grab a bite, relax, and connect with fellow photographers.
Some tips to keep in mind: Wear comfortable shoes, travel light, stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and hat/cap and most importantly make connections and have fun!
Can’t wait to walk, shoot, and connect with all of you!
Thank you to all who participated in today’s Photo walk.October 4th, 2025

Our Santa Ana leader @Anu Kalle was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Anu arrived on time, maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor, and made us feel at ease throughout the session. Anu patiently listened to our ideas and incorporated them seamlessly into the walk. One unexpected idea that came from an owner of a famous and historic Santa Ana home was to take a quick tour inside a haunted 125-year-old Victorian home in the historic French park district of Santa Ana. Diana Voguel, the new owner, was very enthusiastic when Anu asked if we could tour for 10 min her house. At the end, we all gathered for a quick lunch at the 4th Marketplace location where everyone had a chance to select any type of food of their choice. Anu knew the in and outs of the Santa Ana places and that made the whole 2 hours a good experience. I came out learning a lot from new Street photographers that live in my area. Thank you Anu.
Thank you so much Patty. I was my absolute pleasure and I had a great time with everyone at this photowalk.
