About This Walk
CHICAGO!!!
The Adobe photo team is pleased to have RAGU lead the photo walk in Chicago, IL! This walk is part of the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk 2026 with 25,000+ photographers across more than 1,100 global locations!
Ragu is an internationally award-winning photographer who specializes in documentary-style photography. On this walk, he’ll teach you how to capture whatever is in front of you in a stunning way. The best moments are unstaged, and they’re happening all around you, all the time.
The walk starts at the Formal Garden in front of Lincoln Park Conservatory and continues through Lincoln Park Zoo. The group will photograph the gardens, the animals, each other, and anything else that catches their eye.
Here’s what you’ll work on:
- Reading the moment and the story before reaching for the camera
- Moving your feet and changing your angle to change how the image feels
- Picking backgrounds and layering the scene to make your subject stand out
- Creating dramatic images by exposing for the highlights
- Trying Manual Mode (setting your own shutter speed, aperture, and ISO)
- Quick Lightroom edits on your phone after the walk
Any camera works. Phone, compact, DSLR, or mirrorless. All skill levels are welcome. Just come ready to shoot, experiment, and have fun! If you have a camera with interchangeable lenses, Ragu recommends a 24-70mm or 70-200mm.

The cause: Kelby Worldwide Photowalk 2026 is a worldwide fundraiser, powered by photographers for Springs of Hope Kenya, a nonprofit home caring for children who’ve lost their parents or survived abuse and neglect. Many arrive malnourished, with no one left to care for them. Springs of Hope gives them a safe family, an education, and a real shot at the future they deserve. As a leader, your walk is what makes that possible in your city. Learn more: https://worldwidephotowalk.com/
