About This Walk
About the Walk:
In Sorsogon City, the 2025 edition will be held as a free and inclusive creative gathering featuring a short Community Participatory Creative Talk, followed by a photowalk that explores the cultural, historical, and everyday life of Sorsogon. This localized version aims to empower both emerging and experienced photographers by integrating themes of truth-telling, civic awareness, and cultural sensitivity, and invites participants to engage with photography as a poetic and ethical act of storytelling.
About the Walk Leader:
Venus Ashtred Briñola graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Major in Architectural Drafting from Sorsogon State University. She is a member of the Kurit-Lagting Art Collective, where she continues to engage in creative initiatives that blend art, culture, and community. Skilled in drafting, design software, and creative communication, she has also worked as a digital artist and layout designer for various projects and events.
Passionate about both art and technology, Venus brings her eye for detail, organizational skills, and enthusiasm for visual storytelling as a Photowalk leader, guiding participants in capturing meaningful and inspiring images of Sorsogon.
Our Route:
We will start at SorSu (Pavilion) and go straight along Magsaysay Street. Turn at Savemore towards Sulucan, then exit at Salog and proceed to Burabod. From there, turn at Polvorista, then head towards Hollywood. Cross Magsaysay Street to reach the Public Market, pass through the Sirangan area, and exit to the Coastal area. Continue along the Coastal Road going to Rempeolas, where the route will end.
