About This Walk
Join this Walk and explore historic – and photogenic – Old Town Albuquerque. Old Town was founded in 1706 by Spanish Settlers, and is the true heart of the city of Albuquerque today. We will begin shooting in the Plaza and adjacent San Felipe de Neri Church, walk the nearby streets looking for hidden patios, admire the architecture and colors of Old Town, and bring back images that capture the culture and feel of this beautiful neighborhood.
This Walk is appropriate for photographers of all skill levels, and is non-strenuous. We will gather at the Albuquerque Photographers’ Gallery for some quick coffee and donuts, head out for about 90 minutes of shooting, and return to the Gallery for light refreshments and conversation.
I’m one of the photographer-owners of the Gallery, and I’ve been teaching photography and Photoshop skills for 15+ years. My goals for the Walk are for everyone to have fun, see some unique scenes, pick up some new photo tips, and make some new friends. I’m looking forward to seeing you all!
It’s tomorrow!October 4th, 2024
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning at 9:30 at the Albuquerque Photographers’ Gallery, 328-B San Felipe NW, in Old Town Albuquerque. The forecast is low 70s and sunny during our Walk, so please protect yourself against the strong New Mexico sun!
