About This Walk

I’m Brian Worley, and I have had the opportunity to lead several photo walks in Oxford and I’m pleased to be back for another yer.

The walk route takes in some of the sights of Oxford as we head out from the starting point and walk towards the end point at Bonn Square. There is ample time for photos, and not too much walking.

Just bring a camera or phone, travelling light is best than weighed down with gear.

Oxford is well served by Park & Ride locations around the city, these offer plenty of parking spaces, while being inexpensive. If like me you choose Redbridge Park & Ride it’s the one with the shortest journey in to the city.

A winner has been chosen for the Oxford Photo WalkOctober 29th, 2025

Hello,

Thanks to everyone who uploaded photos from the Oxford Photo Walk. I enjoyed seeing your pictures from the walk, and it was clear that the people and bicycles of Oxford were the subjects that grabbed your attention in the main. Like me, a few of your tried panning with people and bikes.

After some deliberation I shortlisted these images from the gallery:-
– Me & My Shadow
– An Unwritten Story
– In Transit
– Ghost Rider
– One Mic, One Love
– Interesting… show me more

After some deliberation, I have chosen Ghost Rider as the Oxford walk winning image. Congratulations to the winner, the image will now go forward for Scott Kelby to select from.

That’s it for the 2025 Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk in Oxford.

If you need help with your Canon cameras, lighting, Lightroom or a speaker for a camera club, then please do get in touch. You should have my phone number from the walk route document, if not then go to the contact page on my website https://www.p4pictures.com/contact/

Kind regards,

Brian

Walk Route For SaturdayOctober 1st, 2025

Here’s the walk route for Saturday’s walk. I’ll be at the start point from 13:30 and look forward to meeting you all there. Keep an eye on the weather forecasts as it looks to be dry, but with some blustery winds possible.

Download a PDF of the walk route from my dropbox

My apologies for this being later than previously planned.

Brian

Next weekend is the Worldwide Photo Walk in OxfordSeptember 27th, 2025

Hello,

I so pleased to say we have over twenty people signed up to join me for this year’s Worldwide Photo Walk, I’m looking forward to the day and meeting you all.

This afternoon I went in to Oxford to test the route myself, partly to make sure it was about the right distance, while also offering plenty of different opportunities for photo. I’m pleased to say the route I had pre-planned only needed a few minor tweaks.

I’ll put a document together with the route tomorrow, and post it as a PDF so you can download it if you wish.

You can bring whatever camera kit you like, even just a phone. It’s best to travel lighter rather than weighed down with too much kit. I’ll probably bring my little EOS R10 with the 18-150mm zoom lens.

At the moment the weather forecast is for a dry walk with temperatures around 17C, but weather is a fickle thing to predict.

If you can find a few more folks to join us they would certainly be welcome, but please remind them to register.

Best regards,

Brian Worley
