A Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk in Northern Cebu
Our Story Through the Lens
This photowalk will take us through Daanbantayan, Northern Cebu, to document the stories that make this community unique.
We will photograph the remnants of the earthquake—damaged structures, streets, and places that remind us of what the community experienced. But this walk is not about documenting destruction alone. It is about capturing what comes after: resilience, recovery, hope, and the strength of ordinary people moving forward.
What We Will Capture
1. The Remnants
Photograph visible traces of the earthquake with sensitivity and respect—buildings, walls, roads, and other reminders of the event.
2. Resilience
Look for stories of rebuilding, repairing, reopening, working, and simply carrying on. Capture the human spirit behind recovery.
3. The People
Portraits and candid moments of Daanbantayan’s residents—workers, families, vendors, fishermen, children, and everyday people who give the town its character.
4. The Places
Explore streets, landmarks, coastal areas, local businesses, churches, markets, and familiar places that tell the story of Northern Cebu.
5. Everyday Life
Look beyond the obvious. Capture ordinary moments—conversation, work, laughter, movement, and quiet scenes that might otherwise go unnoticed.
The Goal
Our goal is to create a visual story of Daanbantayan—not just as a place affected by an earthquake, but as a community that continues to live, rebuild, and move forward.
