About This Walk
The Location
Centre de Flacq is a bustling place. It’s officially classified as a village, but it operates mostly like a town. There is a lot to see, from its market to its busy streets, from the river crossing the village to the small pedestrian bridges that cross it at different places, and of course its iconic colonial District Court, this PhotoWalk dives into street photography with a mix of architecture and certainly stranger portraits. On a Saturday morning, it is absolutely certain that there will a lot to capture.
The Walk
On the practical side, there are several public parking spaces, focusing on the market parking area, opposite the Central Flacq Market. Second option is the VIP Commercial Complex and third option is a large public parking having its entrance next to the District Council Customer Service Centre building, next to the main Taxi Stand. Market fair days are Wednesdays and Sundays, so hopefully, it will be easier to find a parking. The downside is that the market itself may lack the colourful vibes.
Meeting point will be around the Market area, next to the Bus Terminus.
Due to urban conditions, it is advised to travel light in the streets, avoiding big camera bags and massive tripods.
This event is family friendly. All photographer levels and all camera types are welcome, even phones. The purpose is to have fun, create new friendships and strengthen the photography network locally.
Food and drinks can easily be bought from the so many shops and food outlets. From street food to renowned fast food chain outlets, you have it all there.
About me
