About This Walk

Hi!  My name is Jane Ballard.  I have been a photographer for many years starting way back in the film days.  Today, I use a Nikon Z7 with a 24-200 lens for the most part.

I have decided to try my hand a leading a Photowalk this year.  I have chosen Downtown Branson Missouri for my walk.  My plan for the walk is Main Street from Veterans Blvd on the West to Branson Landing Blvd to the East and from Main Street on the North to College Street on the South.

Downtown Branson is the home of the local favorite Farmhouse Restaurant, Dick’s 5 & 10, the Branson Scenic Railway, Peter Engler Designs, and a whole lot more.  Branson IS HILLY, so be prepared to walk up and down some hills!

The Branson Landing is just east of where we will walk if you want to take some more pictures and do some more shopping after our Photowalk.  We may plan for lunch at the Landing, depending on how many people sign up and how many people the restaurants can handle.

Hope to see you in Branson Missouri for our 2025 Worldwide Photowalk!

  1. Well, I went to Branson to check everything out for our walk! I’m sure glad I did! Boy, will we have stuff to photograph!!! I’ve changed the starting/ending point because of what’s going on in Downtown Branson on Saturday, October 4. There is a FREE trolley that can pick us up at this location and take us to the Downtown area because I think parking IN Downtown will be a nightmare! And… it just may be that Paula Deen’s would be a good place for lunch – lol…

    So…why the change???

Downtown Branson will be holding a Fall Festival in over 30 downtown business locations on Oct 3 & 4! There will be fall decorations at all the businesses and MUSICIANS on lots of the corners! The people watching alone should be phenomenal! I also spoke with the Branson Museum people and we are WELCOME to come INSIDE the museum to take photos. The businesses do NOT want us inside…

  2. We are less than a week away! The weather is looking nice, too! If it’s alright with you all, I think I’ll see if Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar will accommodate us for lunch. We will head straight DOWN the hill from Downtown Branson, maybe take a few photos at the train station, then cross the street to the Branson Landing for lunch. We will have to either catch the little train that they have at the Landing to take us to the parking lot or we can walk (and take more photos!) back to the lot. I’m getting excited! How about YOU???
