On the corner outside of the Tin Lilly restaurant.

Where The Walk Will End

Meet at the Lakeview Drive-in to answer any questions.

About This Walk

Welcome to the official Scott Kelby Lake Chelan World Photo Walk event, we will officially tour the outside of some of the older buildings in downtown Chelan. Chelan as a town, was officially incorporated on May 7, 1902, and still has a lot of old buildings still standing 122 years later.. Once we finish the historical side of Chelan, we will visit the lake to photograph some historical hydroplanes, race boats, and vintage pleasure boats that date back to the 1950’s or earlier.

Collectively we will openly discuss photography throughout the event, and I’d be happy to make recommendations for camera settings and/or photo opportunities. I will also be shooting myself so please feel free to ask any questions that you might have.

I am a native of Washington state and have been a history nut most of this time, in addition to history I enjoy photography of course, vintage race boats, antique runabouts, and camping with my wife and family.

Your standard 18-35mm or equivalent should be all that you will need for the historical walk, if you have a 70-200mm, or equivalent, and want to bring this along it might be good for some images of the hydroplanes leaving and coming back to the docks.

  1. We are just three short weeks away from this amazing photowalk, get those lenses cleaned, those batteries charged, and those walking shoes ready as we prepare for an amazing day shooting around town and the beautiful Lake Chelan waterfront.

    Cheers..

  2. We are now inside two-weeks until our photowalk, the weather looks to be cooler so dress accordingly. Some of our photography opportunities will be in the shade so please plan accordjngly; I e. faster lenses, higher iso, etc.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great walk.

    Cheers..

  4. We had a great walk this year and are looking forward to the second annual walk next year if the dates aline.
