About This Walk

On October 4, we’ll gather at Bato Boulevard to kick off our Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk here in Bato CamSur. From the Tilapia Landmark and Bato Fish Landing, we’ll follow the streets into the heart of downtown Bato, the Bato Municipal HallHoly Trinity Parish , and the Bato Public Market looping back. It’s a route designed to give us street scenes, and natural backdrops.

I’m Ralph Buena, your walk leader. I’m a local photographer who specializes in portraits and landscapes, and I love showcasing the character of  of Bato, Camsur through the lens. My goal for this walk is simple: give you the chance to participate in this walk, connect with fellow photographers, and have fun creating together. A few quick tips as we go: look for leading lines, don’t be afraid to get close for detail shots  and keep an eye out for candid moments. Most importantly: take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and let your creativity guide you.

ABOUT YOUR PHOTOWALK LEADER:

Ralph Buena
Photographer |Visual Storyteller | Explorer
fueled by passion, curiosity, and a love for storytelling through images.

My journey with photography began with chasing sunsets and seeking out candid smiles – it quickly grew into a way of seeing the world, of connecting with people and places in the most authentic ways. For me, photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about freezing time, evoking emotions, and telling stories that linger long after the moment’s gone.

I roam the streets of poblacion Bato, of rice fields of lakeside, shorelines of coastal, landscapes of mountain area & letting light guide me to unexpected encounters and beautiful imperfections. Whether it’s a hardworking farmer, fisherman, market vendors, street foods, pedicab drivers, the colorful celebration of Bato founding anniversary through Karanowan Festival, breathtaking mountain view, calm lake, migratory birds at the Lakeshore, Beaches of Triple P,  Hidden paradise of Bato, the Bagacay falls, the genuine smiles of Bato aeta community, the quiet dignity of everyday life, or the play of shadows on a worn wall – the authenticity of human connections, and the beauty found in the unscripted moments.

One of my shots sometime featured by a Passionate US Based Filipino painter Mr. Norbing Villez as one of the reference of his paintings.
