About This Walk

• Stop 1: The meeting spot point is at the Manar Al-Islam mosque, formerly Al-Sayyadin.

• Stop 2: Anfoushi Fish Market (Halaket Al Asmaak) Experience the vibrant local atmosphere, fresh seafood displays, and traditional fish auctions.

• Stop 3: Fishing Boat Shipyards (Shipbuilding Workshops) Explore the traditional wooden boat-building workshops along the coast and witness local craftsmen at work.

• Stop 4: Citadel of Qaitbay Visit the iconic 15th-century fortress built on the exact site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse.

• Stop 5: A tour in the Al-Manshiyya.

• Stop 6: Coffee Break at a Traditional Local Cafe (Farouq) Relax and enjoy traditional Egyptian tea or coffee at an authentic seaside coffee shop.

• Stop 7: El Max High Lighthouse & Canal Head to the El Max area to see the historical lighthouse and the unique canals often called the “Venice of Alexandria.”
