Springs Of Hope Orphanage
This year’s event is about more than just great photos—it’s about making a real impact. We’re coming together to support Springs of Hope Kenya, a home and education center for orphaned children who need our help.
To walk with us, we’re asking for a $1 minimum donation. Just one dollar gets you in—but if you feel moved to give more, every bit goes directly to the kids who need it most. Your lens, your feet, your heart—all working together for something bigger. DONATE NOW!

Picture a casual photography event where photographers gather, usually in a downtown area or trendy part of town. They walk around, take photos, enjoy each other’s company, and support a good cause. After the walk, participants can enter their best photo into a friendly contest.
Springs of Hope Kenya is an incredible nonprofit that provides food, shelter, education, and love to orphaned children. It’s more than just a place to live—it’s a place where kids can feel safe, supported, and empowered to build a better future.
We walk to help raise funds and awareness for their mission. Every $1 donation—and every step you take—helps provide real support for the kids who call Springs of Hope home.
We are so thankful for those of you that take the initiative to lead a walk! This event would not be the success that it is without the volunteers who organize and scout locations for the walkers. To become a walk leader simply click here and complete an application. Once the application has been submitted, you will receive an email with instructions for setting up your walk.
Our 1st step is to get our leaders on board and get a good selection of walks up and running for you, our walkers, to select. Once we feel we have enough to get started the “Find a Walk” tab will show up in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
In order for all walkers to have the same opportunities to capture images during the walk, the following rules must be followed:
Yes! Of course yes! Not only can you enter as a leader but we have created an entirely separate contest submission category just for the leaders—to compete against other leaders! This way your odds of winning and being noticed are even greater.
This year we’re asking every participant to make a $1 donation to walk, which goes directly to support Springs of Hope Kenya, a home and school for orphaned children. It’s a small step with a big impact, and you’re welcome to donate more if you’re able.
Please note: some walk locations (like zoos or national parks) may have separate admission fees not covered by your walk registration.
Yes, of course! There are many larger cities that would definitely benefit from having multiple walks. We do suggest that before you start a walk you double check to make sure that you are choosing either a different time of day or location as any existing walks. This will prevent any competition between walks and give our walkers a variety of options.
Why yes, yes there is! Everyone that registers and participates in a walk is eligible to enter to win some amazing prizes from our industry related sponsors. To find out what those prizes are check back here often, as we will post those as soon as they are confirmed. But, we can promise they will be great!
We’re thrilled to partner with SlickPic to host this year’s Worldwide Photo Walk contest. Thanks to their support, we’re able to offer an exciting platform for our walkers to submit their best shots and compete for some fantastic prizes.
To enter, simply head to your walk’s page on/or after the event day—there, you’ll find the submission link provided by SlickPic.
We’re really excited about this partnership with SlickPic and can’t wait to see the amazing photos from all of you!
