About The Contest
Thank you to all of our walkers and to everyone who donated to the Springs of Hope Kenya Orphanage! We have created this photo contest for you for two reasons: One, to share and showcase the amazing photography talent around the world! And two, As our way of showing our appreciation for all of you! This is a free event for us so we have reached out to some of our amazing sponsors and have pulled together some pretty amazing prize lists for you all! Check out the prizes
Participation is Easy Thanks to SlickPic!
We’re thrilled to partner with SlickPic to host this year’s Worldwide Photo Walk contest. Thanks to their support, we’re able to offer an exciting platform for our walkers to submit their best shots and compete for some fantastic prizes.
Contest Submissions:
Submissions will open on the day of the walk. To enter, simply head to your walk’s page on/or after the event day—there, you’ll find the submission link provided by SlickPic.
We’re really excited about this partnership with SlickPic and can’t wait to see the amazing photos from all of you!
WalkerS
Overview: You, the walker, will submit your best photo taken during the walk to your walk leader (only 1 submission per walker). The leader will review all entries and pick one. The selected image will then be entered into the contest.
1 Grand Prize winner and 10 finalists will then be selected by Scott Kelby himself, and will receive some amazing sponsor prizes. (see below).
How to submit to your walk leader:
• Click “PHOTO WALK LOGIN” using the upper navigation bar.
• Click “YOUR WALK” on the upper navigation bar.
• Click on the “CONTEST” tab under the map on your walk page.
• Click on the “Choose File” button and upload your best photo (must be under 5mb)
LeaderS
Overview: Each leader will be responsible for reviewing and picking the best submitted walker image. In addition, you, the leader, will be eligible to enter into a separate Grand Prize contest where you will be competing against only leaders.
How to submit your contest entry:
• Click “PHOTO WALK LOGIN” using the upper navigation bar.
• Click “YOUR WALK” on the upper navigation bar.
• Click on the “LEADERS CONTEST” tab under the map on your walk page to submit your photo.
• Click on the “Choose File” button and upload your best photo (must be under 5mb)
How to select your walk winner:
• When logged in click on the “SUBMISSIONS” tab under the map on your walk page.
• Click on the first user image to enlarge it.
• Once enlarged click the next button until you’ve viewed all submitted images.
• Once you’ve viewed all of the images click the “SELECT WINNER” button in the bottom right corner of the image you want to submit
In addition, in 2020 we debuted our gallery page that allows participants to comment, like, and lift-up other walkers (and leaders), and this year we have created a third prize that is open to everyone, regardless of whether you are a walker or a leader (and even if you weren’t selected by your leader). Once you submit your image it will automatically populate into the GALLERY. The image with the most likes/comments will be our “People’s Choice” winner!
