Where We Will Meet

Where The Walk Will End

About This Walk

Our Photowalk will explore downtown Evansville from the Old Courthouse to the Riverfront and back. Since the pandemic started, there have been many new additions to the photographic landscape.  Downtown Evansville is a great place for your family, senior, wedding and urban cityscape photography. Following our formal walk time, we can meet-up at a local feed and watering hole or even explore long exposure nightscapes in the city.

As the administrator of the Evansville Photography Group – Fine Arts Camera Club, I would welcome photographers of any ability to join us and enjoy our shared passion for photography, meet some new friends and have a great time!

There is plenty of parking in the vicinity of the Old Courthouse and from there we can explore it’s great architecture and start exploring as we make our way to the riverfront.  There are many alleyways, interesting storefronts, historic buildings and photo opportunities everywhere – you just have to look for them.  Some of the places we will visit include most of Main Street, the Greyhound Bus Station, the Old Post Office, the Museum/Pagoda/Four Freedoms area, the LST Memorial and whatever else interests you!

I look forward to seeing a good turnout and making some new friends!

Thank You!!!August 14th, 2022

I wanted to thank you all for participating in the Evansville segment of the Worldwide Photowalk! It was great to see some old faces (I see one everyday in the mirror!) and to meet a lot of new friends! While we will never see everything in 2 1/2 hours, It is my hope that just by getting out of our usual solitary comfort zones to explore the city a little, you will all go back, re-visit some of those locations and new ones. When you have more time, when the light is different, when you bring along a family member, client or model to put into a scene. Nothing happens unless you are there! Again, thanks for joining the walk, please feel free to share your images to the EPG FB page or add them to the contest at If you would like, friend me on FB and reach out at any time with questions or thoughts on anything photography!!! Cheers….Tom

David Miller Tom, you may need to carry me to my car.

Thomas Barrows Ha! I have a two-wheeled cart that might just do the trick!
