Good to be back in DC!  This will be my sixth photo walk in Washington, DC.

I do recommend taking Metro as parking is limited in the area.

We will start at the Friendship Archway 728-730 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001 right near the Metro where we will do a group shot.  We will start around 10:00 AM and I will wait for about 10 minutes for any latecomers. Then start as a group heading Northwest to Mass Ave. and folks are free to break off if they see something.

We will walk around the Apple Carnegie Library. Then continue up Mass Ave. to Thomas Circle and then Dupont Circle. We will have lunch at All Day by Kramers (1530 19th St NW, Washington, DC 20036)

After the walk, a tab will open up to upload your best photos from the walk for the contest.  I will select the best one that will go on to be judged against all the rest of the photo walks from around the world and Scott Kelby gets the job to select those best shots.  I also will have a Flickr Group that you can join and upload your best photos if you want to share a few additional photos. 1. Hi David, Hope you are very well! So that you have a proper count, there will be four of us. I am bringing my husband (Scott), my daughter (Lucy, 9), and my son (Leo, 3). Looking forward to the walk! Many thanks, Nicol

  2. Good afternoon David, I too will be bringing an additional walker. My wife will be joining us, looking for to the walk see you on Saturday.

  3. Hi David, This is my first Photowalk. Is bringing a laptop pretty much expected if we want to do any editing like dust spotting, contrast, adjustment, cropping, etc. before we submit our photo to you for the competition? Or will there be time to return home after the walk to do this at home before you select one to turn in. Looking forward to Saturday! Kim Kaplan

  4. Kim, yes the contest is some time (days) after the walk, so you do not need to do any editing or submit the photos the same day. An email will be sent when the contest entry is open.
