Where We Will Meet

The Meiji Shrine Torii Gates

Where The Walk Will End

USHIGORO Bambina SHIBUYA for a bite to eat, drinks and talk

About This Walk

At the start, we will meet at the Meiji Shrine Torii Gates and head out from there.  This will be my fourth trip to Tokyo, but my first time putting together a photo walk there, so I could use some help from someone local in Tokyo to help me plan the rest of the walk route, which should take no more than two hours at a very leisurely pace with plenty of time to take photos along the way. If you can help, please reach out in the comments (discussion)? That would be really helpful (thank you in advance). More updated info to come soon.

I’m looking forward to meeting you in Shibuya. 🙂

  1. Hi Scot:
I’d like to help you, but it’s a photo walk with Scot Kelby. However, we could hang out for a while and talk about photography, among other things.
    A big hug, master.

  2. Hi, Jose. I’m here in Tokyo (just got here this afternoon), and it looks like it’s just going to be you, me, and my son walking this time, so it will be pretty casual. I want to make sure we meet at the right location – I’m not sure the location I have chosen above is correct. The correct location is the Gate at Meiji Jingu Ichino Torii. I went there late this afternoon but they were closing, but I think it’s the West Exit to the park – that’s where we’ll meet. Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow at 10:00 am. 🙂

  3. Hi Scott,

It’s a shame I only saw this thread today. I went to the Meiji Jingu Torii Gate near Takeshita before 10 am on October 5th. When I noticed no one else was holding a camera, I headed over to the Meiji Jingu Shrine. I stayed there for a while, then realized you might have canceled due to the rain. Nevertheless, I continued along the planned route and took some shots. Then I met Jose at the end location in Shibuya. We thought we were going to see you there.

    Thanks,
    Charles
