About This Walk
Welcome, everyone, to my second year as your Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk leader! This year we will switch it up a bit and walk from the Marina Jack’s Yacht Basin to the Rosemary District and finish up at the Sarasota Farmers Market. I choose these routes to make it easy for all participants: ample parking on the bayfront and giving you an opportunity to make some excellent photos or simply shop at the Sarasota Farmers Market when our group breaks apart! The time is early due to heat, parking and crowds. Also, I’m headed to Europe in the afternoon – I planned my trip around this awesome event!
This walk will include photography tips, solutions where necessary, some history and a lot of image making! Bring your favorite camera, SD card, charged batteries, perhaps an additional lens or two, your dog (leashed!)/spouse/children/friends, and your imagination. Of course, your cell phones are welcome!
Please dress comfortably, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your hydration: water is important, and if you tend to run low on electrolytes consider a drink like Gatorade or whatever your normally drink while out walking in the Florida sun.
