About This Walk

 

Photowalk will be at the San Angelo State Park South Entrance.  Entry fee to the park will be waived for all registered walkers.  We will meet at the Pavilion at 9am.  We will walk to the wildlife viewing area (birds, javalinas, foxes, and deer may be seen), then we will walk to the Bison and Longhorn viewing area. At 11:30am the Friends of San Angelo State Park will provide a free meal for all registered walkers at the Pavilion where the walk started.   Don’t delay, REGISTER today!

If you will be hiking for the perfect SHOT…I do suggest that you wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes,  a hat, insect spray, and don’t forget a water bottle.

Just a friendly reminder…Your ONE submission for the photo contest/video contest (5 min. or less) is due no later than 11:27pm cst Monday, Oct. 15th. Send your winning entry to holbertclan@suddenlink.net. Winners will be announced the week of 10/29 via this website.
NETWORKING – Please don’t forget the Concho Valley Photo Club will be meeting Sat. 10/13/18 @ 9:30 First National Bank on Knickerbocker in the basement. Follow them on FB for more photo opportunities! They meet once a month, second Sat. same location! Beginners to Pro’s, Cell Phone to EXPENSIVE Equipment, & open to all ages!

At this time I want to remind you about the PHOTO/VIDEO contest

Contest Details:
There are two types of contests: a photo contest and a video contest. Walkers can enter the walker photo contest and/or the video contest. Leaders can enter the leader photo contest and/or the video contest. Rules and details are below:

The Walker Photo Contest
Walkers can submit their best photo (one submission only) taken during the walk to their walk leader. The leader will review all entries and pick one winner to submit to the main photo contest. These winners are also known as the “individual walk winners.”

Scott Kelby will review all the individual walk winner’s photos and pick one Grand Prize Winner of the Walker Photo Contest and ten Finalists.

Video Contest
All participants (Walkers and Leaders) will be able to submit a short video (5 minutes or less) taken during their walk to be entered into the contest. Scott Kelby will pick one winner to take home the Grand Prize. Only one video submission per person.

Mobile Photography Photo Contest
Pull out your phone or tablet and start snapping! All participants (Walkers and Leaders) will be able to submit one photo taken with a mobile device during their walk to be entered into this contest. Scott Kelby will pick one winner to take home the Mobile Grand Prize.

The week of 10/29 – Grand Prize, ten Finalists, Leader Contest, Mobile Photography, and video contest will be announced

Almost time to WALK!September 19th, 2018

Looking forward to meeting each and every one of you on Saturday, Oct. 6th. If you have any questions, please contact me at 325-277-8905. If you need to remove yourself from the walk due to unforeseen circumstances, here is the info on how to do so…To remove yourself from the walk, first, log into your account. Once you’re logged in, you should be taken to your walk page. If not, just click the Your Walk link at the top of the site. Once you’re at your walk page, you should see a green button in the sidebar that says “Leave Walk.” Just click that and you’ll be taken off the walker roster.
We currently have only three spots available.
Keep in mind, I will be asking you to send me your best shot to submit for the photo contest, you can send it to holbertclan@suddenlink.net. I will need your contact info to include address and phone number. Please don’t forget to title your entry.
