Where We Will Meet

Neil Armstrong Statue

Where The Walk Will End

Purdue Memorial Union (Purdue campus map)

About This Walk

Our walk will start at the Neil Armstrong statue on the campus of Purdue we will then weave our way through campus hitting the major landmarks. By having the photowalk later at night we should end up at the new arch on the south end of campus at sunset. This new arch is located next to the Purdue Memorial Union and should offer a great sunset view.

This walk is open to anyone of any skill level. Bring your phone, dSLR, mirrorless, or whatever camera you make photos with. The walk is more about meeting other local photographers and making those relationships. There are some very cool prizes for the best photo that Kelby One is offering.

If you want to stay and chat after the walk we can work on photos in the Union meeting area near the main hall and campus map.

What to Bring: Yourself and whatever camera you use. If you have a tripod it may help making photos as the sun goes down.

David Wegiel Very exciting news! Camera Outfitters has agreed to print a free 8x10 image for each photo walker as well as a lens cloth. More info about how to redeem your free print will be given out at the walk.

David Wegiel More good news! I have been trying to get some prizes rounded up from the community, and I have a $25 gift certificate for Camera Outfitters to give away. I will have more details as I get the rest of the prizes rounded up. I wanted to have a couple of cool things to give away to everyone who is walking as a thank you for joining me.

David Wegiel Today I added a $10 gift card to Kathie's Kandies to the prize pool!

Wayne Jordan Can you suggest a good place to park? I'm not from the area, and so not familiar with the parking situation.

David Wegiel I would park at the Grant street parking garage across from the Purdue Memorial Union. We will be starting farther away from it, but when we end up there it will be easy to grab your car. They do charge $1 per hour to do so.

David Wegiel Another local business Walt's Pub has donated a $15 gift card to our walk.

David Wegiel I look forward to seeing everyone tonight. We will meet at the Neil Armstrong Statue at 6 and get started. I will be there early hanging out. I also plan on parking at the garage across the street from the Purdue Memorial Union as that is where we will be finishing up our walk.

David Wegiel I just created a group on Facebook where we can all chat. Here is the link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/400022840686188/ You can upload photos from the walk there as well as just talk with others from the walk tonight.
