About This Walk
The Worldwide Photowalk will begin in front of the Scioto County Welcome Center. We will go south to the flood wall murals on Front Street and walk east along the flood wall. This will take us to the Ohio River where we can view the U.S. Grant Bridge and the Carl Perkins Bridge. Our walk will continue up to Second Street, where we can photograph some of the unique architecture and storefronts. Our walk will conclude at the Market Street Cafe for coffee or a light meal and a review of the walk. The total walking distance is approximately 1 mile.
The photo walk will be lead by Pam DeCamp, a local award winning professional fine art and travel photographer. Pam has lead many photography workshops in the region. She will take the time to show you different perspectives and provide tips for your photography.
All skill levels are welcome. Any type of camera (cell phone, point and shoot, and professional style DSLR) can be used on this walk. A midrange telephoto lens (24-70mm) is recommended, but there are also many macro opportunities along the way. Bring what you are comfortable carrying. The terrain is flat and paved. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring water and wear sunscreen and a hat. The photo walk is open to everyone.
