Where We Will Meet
SouthEast corner of First St & College Ave
Where The Walk Will End
Courtyard at Claremont Village Square
About This Walk
This is the fifth year I will be the photowalk leader in this wonderful City!
My name is Kevin Toohey. I am an experienced, professional photographer & instructor leading this scenic walk! I specialize in teaching private lessons & very small group photography classes.
We are starting early to get that great morning light.
We will take a short walk to the Claremont Depot Train Station (for our group photo) and then through the “Village” in order to capture unique architectural & street shots. The walk will continue in and around the downtown Claremont area where we will have the opportunity to photograph the older homes, college buildings, beautiful macro shots (flowers!) & scenery along the way.
I hope you will plan on staying at least an hour after the walk to share your images, socialize, and enjoy a refreshment and/or casual dining experience.
I also encourage you to FULLY charge the camera battery & only bring the photo accessories you will need (it can be uncomfortable carrying heavy equipment).
Important note about meeting location: The address listed is not the exact meeting location, as the parking lot doesn’t have an official address. Please view map and park in the South-Eastern corner of 1st Street & College Ave.

Winner ChosenOctober 17th, 2018
After taking a long time to decide… I chose the winner of this years Claremont’s WWPW. Thank you for all who submitted. (All the photos entered were excellent).
I don’t know how or if you will be notified…in years past, the WWPW website posted the winner on the Claremont page.
Thanks again. Happy Shooting.
Reminder + a few new thingsOctober 15th, 2018
You have until 9pm PST tonight to submit your contest photo.
I’d recommend if you haven’t already, that you do it soon because if you have any problems I probably won’t be available to help after 3pm or so.
The email you received from the WWPW gives you directions.
I will choose the winner by Wednesday night.
(I’m not sure how the notification process will work this year, so I’d recommend you log back into the Claremont Photowalk page as I’m guessing the winning photo will be displayed there.
The one winning photo will be reviewed by WWPW and winners will then be chosen.
Keep in mind that unless you contact me by phone, text or direct email, I don’t have any way of getting in touch with you.
Also, most likely in a week or so the site will stop allowing me to send these updates.
I hope you enjoyed the group photo…
Keep in touch and good luck on the contest.
Photo Contest, Gallery for posting your photos & more!October 11th, 2018
It was fun meeting all of you at the Claremont photowalk last Saturday.
Be sure to read the email you received from WWPW2018 to submit your one favorite photo for the contest.
I have created a Flickr gallery where you can post up to 12 of your favorite photos (you can also comment on others photos, etc…) You can’t post photos until you “join” the group: https://www.flickr.com/groups/4516754@N25/
I have already posted the group photo there.
I also hope you’ll visit the older galleries from past years.
If you have a Facebook profile be sure to “LIKE” http://facebook.com/learnyourcamera (You’ll find the group photo under the Claremont event as well)
Finally, if you have any questions about the small group, hands-on classes I offer or private lessons, contact me by phone or email anytime. http://LearnYourCamera.com
I look forward to viewing your photos! Thanks again,
