About This Walk
I’m back for another Worldwide Photo Walk in Oxford. This will be a new route around the city staying central with time to enjoy the sights, make photos and new friends.
I’ve planned this walk to give you time to visit one of the Oxford Colleges after the walk should that be of interest.
Latest walk information for tomorrowOctober 4th, 2024
Thank you for signing up to the walk, I’m really looking forward to tomorrow and it looks like the weather will be on our side. (phew!)
I will be at the Radcliffe Camera at 11am.
The route is a gentle one designed to allow time to dawdle and take shots with a little less pressure. Also I walked over 300 miles last month, so I already did plenty of steps.
The route for tomorrow is…
– Radcliffe Camera
– Boolean Library
– Bridge of Sighs
– Broad Street
– Right down Magdalen St to Martyrs Memorial
– Down the side of the Randolph Hotel past Ashmolean Museum along Beaumont St
– Turn in to Gloucester Street and the Gloucester Street Market
– Exit the market by the Odeon and turn in to New Inn Hall St
– Go along to Bonn Square, and then down the side of Westgate along St Ebbes
– Left at the Royal Blenheim in to Pembroke Street
– Cross over St Aldates, and go in to Blue Boar St. Oxford Museum on your left.
– At the Bear pub, turn up the very narrow passage called Wheatsheaf Yard
– Cross over High Street and go in to the Covered Market
– Go through the market to the opposite side exiting on Market St
– Go right along Market St and in to Brasenose Lane to the Radcliffe Camera.
I will bring a few printed copies of the route with me.
If you are running late, please txt/whatsap me on 07833 451572.
If you are driving in to Oxford, use the Park and Ride. It’s £4 to park all day including a return bus ticket to the city. If you come from Thornhill Park and Ride, get off at High Street or Carfax. If you come from Redbridge Park & Ride, get off at Westgate.
Many thanks for joining, see you there.
Brian
Looking forward to seeing everyone! 🙂
Hi sorry but I can’t make the walk on Saturday now
