Where The Walk Will End

About This Walk

Hi Photo Walkers!

I am a New Jersey based photographer and will be leading my sixth photo walk.

This year I’m returning to New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ where I held my photowalk in 2016. The Delaware River divides these towns and each has an interesting history with the railroad and the Delaware and Raritan Canal influencing their growth. The towns have now become a tourist destination with many shops, galleries, antiques, restaurants and B&Bs.

Come and explore these photogenic and vibrant towns with me, meet other photographers, capture and share some photos, then talk all about it at the end of our journey at The Dubliner

We will meet in front of the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad ticket booth building to start the walk. We’ll then venture over the bridge to Lambertville and walk back to our starting point.

More detailed info will follow, including a map of the suggested route and parking info. The photo walk is little over a mile and should give us plenty of time for a leisurely stroll with lots of photo opportunities.

Hope to see you on October 5th!

Winning Photo from our PhotowalkOctober 18th, 2019

Congratulations to Sandy Stolzman for the winning photo from our photowalk!

Not sure if you all can see Sandy’s image and the other submissions on our walk page, if not, here is the image on her Flickr feed:

Many of us photographed this little corner of the antique garden shop, including myself. Sandy’s composition framed the statue, (which I believe is the Greek goddess Diana), beautifully! With the mirror nicely placed around the head like it was part of an illustration. Nicely done Sandy and good luck in the overall contest as your photo is now included.

The winners will be selected the week of Oct 28th. A grand prize winner, 10 finalists, Leader contest and mobile contest winners will be announced.

Photo Walk in Two Days!October 3rd, 2019

Hi All,

Our photo walk is just two days away and the weather is looking good although a little on the cool side.

Since our group has grown to 36 people I’d like to get a preliminary headcount for who will be joining us after the walk for a meal and/or drink? I want to make sure that the restaurant will be able accommodate us.

Please send me an email or text and let me know – yes, no or maybe.

Worldwide Photo Walk in One Week!September 28th, 2019

Hi All!

Our photo walk is one week away! Our group has been slowing building and we now have 29 participants!

We will meet and greet at 2:45pm near the ticket booth of the New Hope Railroad:
We’ll take a group photo and start our walk heading towards Lambertville, NJ.

I created a map of our walk and highlighted a few areas with descriptions in the accompanying map key. This is my suggested route and of course you can venture off on your own.

You can view and download a pdf of the map here: The walk is a little over a mile, but you can shorten the route as time and energy allow.

There is parking in the Union Square Mall a block west of the New Hope Railroad. It is a metered kiosk system that takes cash, credit cards and the parking app ParkMobile: There are also two metered lots on West and East Randolph Streets within a block of The Dubliner, according to the restaurant. Most street parking is metered and limited in time…I think 2 hours, and hard to find.

There is a public bathroom at the New Hope Railroad station and at the many restaurants along the route. A link to directions to the photo walk and Google maps directions are listed on the map key.

We’ll meet up at the end of the walk at The Dubliner on the Delaware at 34 North Main Street in New Hope, PA to relax and unwind.
See you in a week!
