Where We Will Meet

St Patricks Cathedral. Cnr Gisborne & Albert Sts East Melb.

Where The Walk Will End

Queen VIC MARKET - "Market Place" - Cnr Queen & Victoria Sts

About This Walk

This photo-walk is literally for anyone who loves to take photos just for the fun of it.

So let’s all meetup for a brief chat outside one of Melbournes most stunning churches “St Patricks Cathedral” at 10:15am for a 10:30am start.

We’ll begin our walk up to the Victorian State “Parliament House” and then down through Melbournes “China Town” precinct along Little Bourke St. We can peek into “Croft Alley” famous for its street art before venturing past the “State Library” and also another alley way called “Blender Lane” to view more art. On the last part of our walk we will continue up to the “Queen Victoria Market” to experience what is the largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere. After about 20 to 30 minutes exploring the market we shall all meet at the “Market Place” food area for some lunch at 12 noon where we can share our experiences with each other.

Remember there is NO rush and let’s all try to keep together. The walk should take around an hour plus some time exploring the market area before lunch at 12 noon. It’s all about having fun, socialising with new people, making friends and learning from each other in a friendly atmosphere.

Bring along whatever camera you feel most comfortable with, be that a camera phone or any other photographic gear, some good walking shoes and a jacket in case in gets cold or rains.

I am a wedding, events and street photographer and I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone. If you need any general help with your photography I would love to talk with you, just ask me anything . See you there 🙂

Alan Rogers *** HOW TO DONATE *** Please don't forget the walk supports The Springs Of Hope Kenya Orphanage, an organization that feeds, houses, educates and empowers young orphans. To donate hit the 'DONATE' button on this page or use this link.

Alan Rogers Hey everyone, just to let you know from my leaders dashboard I saw four of your entries from our walk. On my end all I could see was the four images and NO other details, none of your names or anything like that. One of the images was my Daughters and so I stepped aside and asked one of my colleagues to pick the winner. The image he chose is the black and white capture of a coffee cup in one of the laneways (not my Daughters skateboard rider.) He said he felt it was the strongest image. I asked KelbyOne to let me know the winners name so I could congratulate them properly but they refused to help. So anyway to the winner, whoever you are, congratulations and I hope you now go on to win the final worldwide prize! Cheers!
