About This Walk
Join us for Marsh, Meadow & Light: A Madison Nature Photo Walk on Saturday, October 3, from 3:30–5:30 p.m. at Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park—North Unit. We’ll meet at the parking lot at the end of the gravel entrance road at 6098 N. Sherman Ave. for a relaxed, slow-paced two-hour walk through prairie, savanna, woodland, and marsh habitat. Bring any camera—from phone to long lens—and photograph fall color, native plants, birds and wildlife, wide marsh views, and the small natural details that are easy to miss when we move too quickly. The route begins and ends at the same trailhead, with plenty of time to stop, shoot, share knowledge, and connect with fellow local photographers. After the walk, anyone who would like to continue the conversation is invited to an informal food, drink, and photo chat at Bierock: Craft Beer & Comfort Food, 2911 N. Sherman Ave.
