Leith Harbours

And the winner is…..October 25th, 2024

Hello everyone,

I have had the difficult task of choosing a photo from the Leith Harbours walk to go forward to the overall Worldwide Photowalk contest. The Edinburgh Walk had the most entries from any of the eight UK walks, However, I could only choose one entry to be the winner for our walk. And that winner is……

Pamela Cook for her creative treatment of the photograph of the Ocean Mist overlaid with a texture from the hull of a boat. I like how the texture has been subtly applied to retain the main subjects of the line of boats.

Well done, Pam. While leaders don’t have to award prizes for the individual walks, I think it’s a nice thing to do. Hi,

Due to the hurricane that took place in Florida last week, you can still upload your photos from the walk to the contest. There are main prizes for the worldwide walk, but I also chose my favourite photo of the walkers in Edinburgh. It would be great to see a bigger selection.

I may even throw in a prize to the winner!

Thanks for coming to the Edinburgh walk in the Worldwide Photo Walk. I hope you enjoyed the route I had planned and got some great photos.

In the next day or so you will get an e-mail from the central Photo Walk e-mail allowing you to post your best photo of the day into the group. There is the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes, and you can’t win it if you aren’t in it.

If you post photos on Instagram, the hashtag for the walk is #WWPW2024. You can also use the handles @edinburghphotographyworkshop @scottsphotowalk and @scottkelby – it would be great to see more of your photos.
