About This Walk
I’m Victor Watson, and this photowalk is being sponsored by Schertz Photography School & Studio. This will be the fifth year that we have sponsored the Kelby Photowalk.
Here are the details for the walk:
We will meet outside Halcyon Southtown, 1414 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78210 at 7:00 am, it’s located in the Blue Star Art Complex. We will be walking the historic King William District of San Antonio. After the walk we can grab some coffee and a bite to eat as we return to the Halcyon Southtown after the walk.
Here’s a special perk for any one that shows up wearing one of the Kelby photowalk t-shirts. After eating breakfast at Halcyon Southtown, anyone that wishes can join Victor on his next photowalk of the day which starts between 9:30 am and 10:00 am and will take in the San Antonio Missions.

Update #7October 16th, 2019
The local walk winning photo was selected yesterday and after opening the zip files that were sent in I didn’t know who the winner was. Last night I found an email I had missed and now we know who our local winner is please join me in congratulating Lori Harris our Local photo walk winner. Lori will be receiving a $100 gift card provided to us by Finerworks print lab who are a national lab based right here in San Antonio.
Everyone can view the images submitted at this link, https://worldwidephotowalk.com/walk/king-william-district-photowalk/ under the submissions tab.
Update #6October 15th, 2019
The walker gallery open this morning and I have selected a winner. The winning photo has been pushed up the pipeline to the Kelby folks to go into the pot for the big prizes. But back here at home our local walker has won already. Just ne problem, just like last year I don’t know who submitted what for the walk that why I asked that you also send me your photo via wetransfer, well I opened all the zip files I had after I picked a winner and none of the zip files had the winning photo in them. I think that the website emails the winner when their photo is selected so if the winner can forward me that email I’ll get you your $100 dollar gift card for the print lab.
Congrats to the winner, who ever you are.
Update #5October 8th, 2019
Just wanted to say thanks to all that came out and I hope you had as much fun as I did. Just a reminder you will find the link to upload your DSLR photo from the walk here, https://worldwidephotowalk.com/walk/historical-king-william-district/ don’t forget to sign in with the same user name and password you used to sign up for the walk. The location for the cellphone photos are at the same link just a little down on the page.
Also when the deadline comes your tab to upload your photo will go away. At this point I will get an email from the site saying that it’s time for me to pick a winner for the walk. When I open the link I will only be able to see the photos that were uploaded without any data or names so I wont know who’s photo I’m picking. So in order for me to award the $100 gift card everyone needs to send me the photo you submitted for the kelby walk via www.wetransfer.com to email@example.com and in the remarks section on wetransfer enter your name and email address.
The deadline dates can be found here, https://worldwidephotowalk.com/prizes/

We meet at 7 am near 1414 South Alamo Street, San Antonio, TX 78210 right outside of the HALCYON coffee bar & lounge by the VIA bus stop on South Alamo street. We will return to HALCYON coffee bar & lounge after the walk for brunch, here is a link to the brunch menu – http://halcyoncoffeebar.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/SA-Brunch-3.16.pdf
An added bonus if your up to it after brunch is Schertz Photography School & Studio (Victor) will be leading another photowalk starting around 10 am. The second walk is free to anyone that has a Kelby T-shirt, students of the photography school or either of the two photo clubs sponsored by the school, the Schertz Photography Society or the New Braunfels Photographic Society.
