MEETING SPOT:
Our Kansas City Streetcar Adventure starts in the City Market (on the north end of downtown Kansas City) and ends at the historic Union Station.
ROUTE:
We will use the streetcar to get us from place to place. We will hop on and off at multiple locations throughout downtown Kansas City. Taking advantage of sites in the Library District, Garment District, Power & Light, Crossroads District, Kauffman Center, Union Station and the World War I Monument. Each area provides for unique and different types of photography such as architecture, street photography, urban, landscape and cityscape to name a few.
AFTER THE WALK:
We will eat lunch together afterwards to discuss and further enjoy each others company.
PARKING:
There is some free parking at the City Market, if you cannot find any free spots, you should park along the streetcar route and ride to at the starting point.
Since the premise of this walk is to be hopping on and off the KC Streetcar we will have to abide by their rules. Which you can find here (https://kcstreetcar.org/photofilmvideo-guidelines/). Since the plan is to use the streetcar mainly for traveling to and from different KC downtown locations I didn’t secure a permit. If you do take photos or video while riding please be aware of the rules as stated on their website (check the link I provided in the last sentence).
Also it is August and it may be hot as the morning turns into noon time. So bring water, gatorade or a refreshing beverage (not a soda or other sugary drinks). Please wear proper attire for the weather and for all the walking we will be doing.
The plan is to start the walk promptly at 8am. Please arrive early enough for introductions and instructions.

MEET 8am:
City Market – 5th & Walnut
WALK TO & HOP ON:
City Market – 3rd & Grand
HOP OFF:
Library – 9th & Main
Walk to 10th & Main to library, left to get in front of the library and parking garage. Head back to Baltimore Ave and towards 9th to see the Catholic Building (with eagle). Right on 9th towards Main to catch streetcar.
HOP ON:
Library – 9th & Main
HOP OFF:
Kauffman Center – 16th & Main
Walk towards Kauffman, then down Wyandotte.
Turn right at 18th (towards Main). Near Birdies (store) and the alleys (graffiti)
HOP ON:
Crossroads – 19th & Main
HOP OFF:
Union Station
End walk
EAT:
Catch streetcar back to 19th & Main walk to:
Buffalo State Pizza Co & Bar
1815 Wyandotte

Overview: You, the walker, will submit your best photo taken during the walk to your walk leader (only 1 submission per walker). The leader will review all entries and pick one. The selected image will then be entered into the contest.
1 Grand Prize winner and then 10 finalists will then be selected by Scott Kelby himself, and will receive some amazing sponsor prizes. (see below).
How to submit to your walk leader:
