About This Walk

We will meet at Plaza Park, get a group shot and fan out from there.  We will cover from 2nd St NW/N Frederick Ave on the north, W Charles St and the rail road tracks on the West, down to 2nd St SW over to 1st Ave SE on the west.  After the walk we can meet some where (groups’ choice) for lunch after the walk.

I just moved here to Oelwein last April from the Appalachia/Blue Ridge area of Tennessee for the pass 18 yrs where I develop my skill in landscape photography.  I have lead several of these walks in Jonesborough TN (oldest city in Tennessee) and Johnson City TN.  I attended many workshops in the Great Smoky Mountains where I developed my skill is photography.  Have won several local contests in TN.  Before moving to Tennessee I lived in Waterloo, IA for over 18 yrs and also in the Elkader IA area for several years.

See you tomorrow morningOctober 6th, 2023

Looks like just two for this walk. We can either walk together or separately. If together I will assist any way I can to help both of you. If you get this in the evening, I suggest putting your cameras into your cold cars, this way no condensation will build up at the start of your walk. See you in the morning, dress warm, use layers to adjust though out the morning.

  1. Just wanted you to know that I would love to join this tomorrow, but I have a funeral in the morning. I hope there is a good turnout and that you’ll consider leading a walk again. I was excited to see one close to where I live.
