About This Walk

Hello and welcome to the 2023 Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk!  I have participated in a few walks and this will be the second one that I have led, and I am very excited for this to happen!

This year’s walk will be in Hillsborough, NC.  We will start at the visitors center at 10 AM.  I will give a brief introduction to the walk, provide some maps and direction, and answer any questions that may come up.  We will start walking at 10:15.  The walk will go up Cameron street to Tryon street where we will cross over to Churton street to see some historic buildings and shops.  We will go down Churton past the courthouses and down to the Eno River Walk entrance.  The walk will continue down the Hillsborough River Walk path to the Occoneechee Speedway, up to Poets Walk at Ayr Mount, then down St. Mary’s Rd. into town to end at Radus Pizzeria for lunch and conversation!  This will be a 4-5 mile walk and there will be plenty of opportunities for many different type of photography!

If you are joining this walk, please sign up on the signup page and let me know if you will be joining the group for lunch as I will need to make sure the restaurant can handle a group of our size.

As items come up I will update this page with more information.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the walk!

See you soon!!October 1st, 2023

The photowalk is next Saturday! I am really looking forward to seeing you all there!
We did a preliminary walk this weekend to scout the route and will be making a couple of small changes. We will walk down King street initially and the river walk to the speedway will be optional. It’s about a mile from the river walk entrance to the speedway (I didn’t think it would be that far!)
There will be some opportunity for macro shots of flowers in town and on the river walk. Plenty of architectural and people photo opportunities so either a normal/wide lens for architecture, long zoom for people watching, or an all-in-one to cover both would be recommended.

I’m excited to meet you all and see the photos we get!
See you Saturday!!
