About This Walk
Hi all!! This will be the first Photo Walk that I’ve lead. I’ve been shooting landscape and travel photography for years and just started with portrait photography recently. I’d love to meet up and just have fun and answer any questions you may have. I thought we’d start in an urban setting and we are near some water and a pathway along the South Platte where some of us might wander to as well. It’s easy hiking/walking and something to do for a couple hours sharing photography!!
I have a couple suggestions. Pack light and bring water, hiking shoes and bug spray if you wander towards the Platte. I would suggest one lens, maybe two if you are thinking of something in particular. Keeping to one lens will make things easier and lighter. It also makes for some fun since we have to play with the setup to get that shot you might be looking for. For those looking at anything dealing with the sunset and long exposure stuff, bring a tripod and/or platypod. We can all meet up afterwards at the ViewHouse, or just go our own way, totally up to you.

Hi all,
Looking forward to our walk next weekend. Just a quick info about parking. After 6pm, parking does not seem to have any restrictions on Main Street nor the side streets around the area. Prior to that, there is a 2 hour restriction, so shouldn’t be a problem for us since we are starting at 6pm. There are also some RTD lots south of Main Street and to the east side of the area. RTD has stated that all services are free for the month of August, so parking in those lots should be free as well. Just keep an eye on them if you park there, as I’m not 100% certain of that. The south one is located just south of Chase Bank.
Otherwise, we will plan on meeting everyone on the south side of the brewery, facing Main Street on the stone wall there. See ya then

I should have attached this to the last email, but here is how to submit your photo from the photo walk.

Overview: You, the walker, will submit your best photo taken during the walk to your walk leader (only 1 submission per walker). The leader will review all entries and pick one. The selected image will then be entered into the contest.
1 Grand Prize winner and then 10 finalists will then be selected by Scott Kelby himself, and will receive some amazing sponsor prizes. (see below).
How to submit to your walk leader:
• Click “PHOTO WALK LOGIN” using the upper navigation bar.
• Click “YOUR WALK” on the upper navigation bar.
• Click on the “CONTEST” tab under the map on your walk page.
• Click on the “Choose File” button and upload your best photo (must be under 5mb)
