About This Walk
Dear fellow WWPWalkers,
We are back after the COVID-19 break. And this year, it is being held in August, instead of the traditional first Saturday of October.
Since the first walk in 2007, the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, billed as the largest international and social photographic event, has expanded significantly in scope and recognition. A photowalk has a straightforward idea. In towns all over the world, Walk Leaders organise photowalks to spend a few hours mingling, taking pictures, and chatting with like-minded individuals.
This year we are going to one of the oldest surviving stations in the country and that is Golra Railway Station. Located on the outskirts of Islamabad (near the sector F-13), the Golra Sharif Railway Station is a junction station in the Rawalpindi Division of the Pakistan Railways (the main line that connects Peshawar and Karachi). What makes it especially unique is the collection of railroad memorabilia carefully preserved and exhibited in a museum located right on the premises.
This is a family-friendly event. Please share the news around and feel free to bring along friends and relatives; cameras of all types are welcome, including mobile phones. There is enough substance to discover and photograph that the 3 hours may go faster than you think. Your images are worth seeing and you have the opportunity to enter the largest photo walk competition and be selected as a winner.
Have questions? Feel free to ask!
