About This Walk
Glasgow city centre is a fantastic place for a photo walk with stunning architecture, colourful street art, friendly people and iconic locations.
We’ll meet at the Donald Dewar statue on Buchanan Street at 11am.
If you use the what3words app then we are meeting at ///fund.precautions.radar
During the walk we will visit some familiar spots such as the Duke of Wellington’s statue by the entrance to the Gallery of Modern Art, George Square, part of the “Mural Trail” and the Squiggly Bridge.
Along the way there will be so many other photographic opportunities to suit everyone including portraits, macro, abstract, documentary, street and still life.
Bring comfortable shoes for walking some distance, a waterproof jacket and a sandwich or snack and a drink and we can stop somewhere outside to eat en route.
After the walk we can stop at a cafe and enjoy some refreshments and share our photos before heading home.
I am Richard and I have been a photographer for the last 16 years and have hosted Scott Kelby’s Photo Walk a number of times over the years.
It is a great opportunity to meet up with other photographers, share ideas and knowledge along the way, help our fellow walkers and most importantly have fun. Everyone is welcome. Even if you’ve never tried street photography before, please come along. It doesn’t matter how experienced you are or the type of camera you own.
Just bring your camera or phone, a waterproof coat, lunch and lots of enthusiasm!
