About This Walk
IMPORTANT CHANGE! MEET AT COMMERCE AND E. 15TH STREET. I JUST FOUND OUT THE FESTIVAL EVENT IN THE WATER GARDENS IS NOW A PAID ENTRANCE.
Edgar Miller of Edgar Miller Images, a local photographer, artist and educator will be your leader for the walk. The Fort Worth Water Gardens, two hours before sundown, will be the starting point for World Photowalk Day. After photographing the water features we will venture north to the JFK Tribute park for photos there and views down Main Street of the county courthouse. We will then walk one block west to Hyde Park which includes the Panther City Fountain. We will continue south along Throckmorton Street photographing sights along the way, including a large sculpture and St. Patrick Cathedral. We will cross Lancaster Avenue and head to the T&P Tavern for food and refreshments. Keep an eye on the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Cameras can range from smartphones to advanced interchangeable lens cameras.Join Walk
CHANGE OF STARTING POINTOctober 5th, 2019
We will meet on the sidewalk of the southeast corner of the Water Gardens; East 15th Street and Commerce Street. I just found out the unrelated festival being held in the Water Gardens is not free but has an entry fee. It would be interesting to photograph but it’s not in keeping with the theme of a free photo walk. I’d love a confirmation that you got this, please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org.
