Meet at Broadway Plaza, then lunch in downtown
About This Walk
We will start at Big Toho Marina. From there head north to explore Kissimmee Lakefront Park, then turn onto Monument Ave. to see the city’s famous Monument if States, finally ending up in the downtown area. Along the way you can see Lake Tohopekaliga, a small light house, and several beautiful murals within downtown. After the walk, anyone who wants to stay and have lunch at one of the many locally owned restaurants is welcome to join us for some conversation.
For my sunrise shooters :
Sunrise is at 6:54 am that day, if anyone would like to get up early and photograph the sunrise, I will be there and you are welcome to join me. For those that wish to do so, we will meet at the marina at 6:00 am. Also, Big Toho Marina will be open at 5:30 for breakfast, so we can stop by any time we are there.
Notes :
This walk is for everyone who enjoys taking pictures, no matter your level of experience. Beginners, experts, film, phone, and everything in between are welcome.
It is summer, in Florida, we are starting early to beat the heat. Please make sure that you are prepared, bring water, stay hydrated, wear a hat, and use sunscreen if you need to.
This is a public event, so yes, you are allowed to bring a guest, your family, or whomever else is willing to be seen with you in public. Said guests do not have to register for the walk unless they wish to submit images as well.

Hi, I’m Carolyn. My experience is mostly with landscape, nature, and aviation photography. I’ve done work for Gatorland, Sun ‘n Fun, and others. In affiliation with Osceola Arts, I’ve shown work throughout Kissimmee, most recently in a show at City Hall. Hi folks,
We have just over a week to go. There should be plenty for us to photograph! Including a lighthouse, a marina, and great deal of wildlife that hangs out in the lake. As we make our way to downtown we will pass Kissimmee’s very unique Monument of States, and see several murals and historic buildings.
The official walk time is 9-11, but I will be out for sunrise and breakfast at the marina, so feel free to come early if you wish.

Carolyn Hutchins Hi! Thank you all for signing up! I took a walk along our route last night, and the lake was filled with wildlife! I spotted a green heron, reddish egret, and a male snail kite, among many others.
