Rain-date Sunday???October 5th, 2023

Hello my fellow photography enthusiasts,

Given the impending rain forecast for this Saturday morning in NYC, I’m contemplating rescheduling our Photowalk to ensure the best experience for everyone. Would Sunday 11-1pm work better?

I value the input of each participant, so I kindly ask for your thoughts. Please share your preference: stick to the original Saturday plan, rain and all, or shift to Sunday. Drop me a line at twk@traviswkeyes.com by TOMORROW (FRIDAY) before NOON.

From a photographer’s standpoint, rain does add an extra layer of complexity to our task. If Sunday aligns with most of our schedules, it might be the better option.

Please make sure to check your emails after the deadline, as I will promptly send out a decision based on your collective feedback.

Reach out with your preference ASAP. Your insights are invaluable to me!

Awaiting your responses.

Warmly,
Travis Keyes

Hello and some notes on our upcoming PhotoWalkSeptember 28th, 2023

Hey there! We’re thrilled you’ve signed up to join us on the photowalk. Your passion and enthusiasm are what make these events truly special. Get ready for a captivating journey filled with learning, creativity, and inspiration.
Tips for Our Upcoming Adobe Lightroom Photowalk with Travis Keyes ๐Ÿ“ธ
Homework: Movie Night with a Twist! ๐ŸŽฅโœจ:
Before joining us on the photowalk, dive into the world of cinematic visuals with a simple task: Watch a movie (or two!) of your choice. When a scene captures your attention or evokes emotion, hit pause and take a moment to really dissect it. Examine the interplay of light and shadow, analyze the choice of depth-of-field, and observe the framing intricacies. Understanding these elements in motion pictures can provide valuable insights for still photography. By doing this, you’ll arrive at our walk with a richer perspective, ready to infuse cinematic allure into your own shots. Happy viewing and analyzing! ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŽฌ
Gear Up but Focus on Vision: While top-tier cameras are great, remember, it’s your unique perspective that counts. Whether it’s a Mirrorless or DSLR camera you choose to bring, make sure batteries are charged and memory cards are ready. If using a smartphone, ensure it’s charged. Be prepared to capture Central Park’s beauty and our cinematic Leading Lady.
Install Lightroom Mobile: To fully engage with Travis’s insights, it’s helpful you have Adobe’s Lightroom mobile app installed on your device. (but not mandatory) If you’re new to Lightroom, activate your free 7-day trial by [10/7/23] to get uninterrupted access during our walk. Download here.
Engage and Ask: Travis Keyes is a well of knowledge! Engage with him, ask questions, and tap into his expertise on creating cinematic portraiture. Remember, this is a hands-on experience, so make the most of it.
Dress Comfortably: We’ll be exploring various landscapes of Central Park, from the Bethesda Terrace to the historic Belvedere Castle. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking. And, as it’s fall in NYC, be prepared for any sudden weather changes!

We’re ecstatic for this opportunity to explore, learn, and grow with you in the world of cinematic photography! See you there! ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ“ท
Remember our Starting meeting point is at 10:30am on 72nd st and Central Park West (Central Park side of the street, uptown side corner of 72nd). We will END on 81st (looking at the map shows Start and endpoint.
