About This Walk
Downtown Raleigh has so many picturesque buildings, parks, murals, nooks and crannies – perfect spots to photograph dancers in the wild! We are partnering up w/ several dancers from local studios (and maybe a few live musicians to boot) to create fun / dramatic imagery of their grace and athleticism as they leap, balance, twirl, and have fun in an urban setting.
Hi! My name is Soo Keith and I’m a musician and professional photographer with a studio here in Raleigh. I love to work with movement and the physical form – dancers, athletes, yoga enthusiasts, martial artists – anyone that loves to move their bodies – I find them all so inspiring!
Join us as we sharpen our photography skills while exploring movement, architecture, and nature – or just explore our beautiful city in a fun and creative way. You’ll have a good time, meet wonderful people, and exercise your feet and your right brain at the same time! Bring your camera, comfortable shoes, and creativity. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate our arts community in the Triangle.
We will end our walk back on Blake St. (directly across from south side of Moore Square in the charming, cobblestone area). Then, whoever is interested can walk as a group to the Transfer Co. Food Hall (3 blocks from Moore Square) where participants are welcome to enjoy food and beverages while sharing our experiences and meeting new friends.

There are metered parking spots all around Moore Square, as well as a paid parking garage across Blount St. from Marbles, diagonal from the corner of the park where we will meet. I’m so glad you’re going to join in!
There’s a ton of free parking on the weekends between N. Wilmington Street and N. Blount Street. The lot is about 3 blocks from Moore Square, GPS coordinates are, 35.7820752, -78.6372688
Or, if you prefer a closer parking area, there is a paid parking lot on S. Person Street directly behind Vics Italian Restaurant.
Do you guys mind letting me know if you are signed up as a photographer or as a dancer? I’m trying to get a headcount and line up the dancers. Thanks so much!
