About This Walk
***Don’t forget to submit your photo to the contest before midnight 10/15/18***
Hi! Welcome to the Worldwide Photowalk – Bethlehem.
Let’s park and meet up at the Banana Factory at 9:30am. First, we’ll go over some brief information inside the arts center and then we’ll get started on our Photowalk at 9:45am. The walk will include the Historic, Library and Southside Arts districts of Bethlehem. There will be tons of photographic opportunities at our planned stops and along the walk route. Bring any camera you’d like, plan for making photos and/or videos at outside and inside locations (some special access locations are currently being planned).
We’ll move along as a group, however, feel free to lag behind to complete your photos if needed (a walk route will be handed out in case you fall behind). Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, pack light, and dress for the weather. This is a nice sized walk, we’re going to get some exercise, but there will be “pit stops” along the way. If you feel you can only do a portion of the walk, you’re still welcome to join us for as long as you’d like – heck there’s always Uber, right!?!
At around 1:30pm we’ll arrive at the last stop on our route – Steel Stacks Oktoberfest, where we can gather to share sneak peaks on LCD screens and get some lunch together. At 2pm the Photowalk will officially conclude and we can walk back to the Banana Factory. However, if you’d rather stay on your own at Oktoberfest and continue the fun, there are some exciting events great for photographing (the Weiner Dog Parade at 2pm and Dachshund Races at 3pm to name a few!).
I look forward to meeting everyone and having an amazing day. Let’s hope for great weather!
Just a few days away!October 3rd, 2018
The Worldwide Photowalk is just a few days away and the weather looks like it’s going to be great (keep your fingers crossed). Remember to pack very light; I’m bringing the bare necessities – my camera, an extra battery, and extra card…maybe a flash but I’m not lugging around my big tripod for sure. Wear comfy walking shoes and dress for the weather. I’ve got some pit stops worked out for bathrooms and free water at area businesses along our route of some pretty cool photo opportunities. Start clearing those memory cards and charging those batteries. See you soon!
