About This Walk
Here we go again – the latest episode of the Scott Kelby WorldWide PhotoWalk comes to the Queen City August 13th. 2022 marks the 3rd year I’ve been fortunate to lead the walk (after the Covid layoff it feels like it’s been forever)
This time around we’re going to visit Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood and all its colorful art, characters and vibe. We’ll meet and greet at 7pm, shoot for about 90 minutes (more or less – it’s up to you!) and meet again to share our adventure stories. It’s a fun night of shooting our great city, meeting new friends and hanging with fellow photographers. Did I tell you it is FREE to take part? We want to document Charlotte and NoDa in all its glory and share it with the world! Join us!

Charlotte PhotoWalk UpdateAugust 11th, 2022
Hello to the Charlotte PhotoWalk crew!
I’m excited to see you all this Saturday night at 7pm. We’ll be meeting at the 36th Street light rail station, between the parking deck and Wooden Robot. It’s easy to find and close to the best parking spots in the neighborhood. I’ll be the guy with a camera. We’ll meet up, take a group photo and hit the streets for about an hour or so. You are free to shoot alone or in a group of your new friends. Head home whenever you are ready. There isn’t a formal program to follow because the PhotoWalk isn’t work, it’s a fun, super informal way to get out and shoot.
A few of you have reached out about what gear to bring, and my answer is – it’s up to you! Some folks bring the entire kit, some bring a single lens, and some bring whatever fits in a pocket. It’s about finding and making cool images and meeting a few new friends through our photography. I’ll be shooting with just 1 lens and the challenge to “make it work”. We’ll be walking a bit, so keep in my comfortable shoes and whether that big tripod is worth carrying.
