Where We Will Meet

Courtyard at entance closest to Old Dixie Hyw.

Where The Walk Will End

We'll finish at the Village Chalet for drinks and appitizers

About This Walk

Cauley Square Historic Historic Village originally built as a railroad village to support Henry Flagler’ s East Coast Railroad’s expansion to Homestead and eventually to Key West is now a 10 acre tropical oasis. With trails, fountain-ed courtyards, shops in period buildings, and art galleries, it offers a “target rich environment ” for photographers of all levels. The best camera for this walk is the one you have in your hand. Any thing from a phone to a film view camera is just fine.

We’ll meet in the courtyard close to the entrance and meander throughout the area. There will be opportunities for photos of architecture, nature, people, animals, and …. We’ll finish at one of the restaurants (TBD) with drinks and appetizers to talk about our walk and the images we’ve captured.

Parking is available along the main street and in several parking areas to the left and right. Overflow parking is available across 124th Avn.

Don’t forget to submit your best photoOctober 8th, 2023

Thanks to everyone for coming out. Hope you had a great time. I certainly did.
You should have gotten an email with directions for how to submit your photo. Dead line is 14 Oct. I’m looking forward to seeing your results.

Some more info on our walkSeptember 29th, 2023

We will be finishing our walk at the Village Chalet where drinks and appetizers will be available.
The walk will provide opportunities for every level of photographer and photographic equipment. I’m going to start with a 24 to 70 lens on my camera but will probably bring a 70 to 200 along as well.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Hugh Hudson
