Hello Belle Isle Photowalkers! Welcome back to warmer weather!
In the past 10+ years the Photowalk was in October. Most times, very cold. Now welcome back to August!
Thank you for joining me on the 2022 Detroit Belle Isle leg of the 2022 Scott Kelby World Wide Photowalk, August 13, 2022. The gem that is Belle Isle always offers up excellent imagery with great landscapes, riverscapes, cityscapes, renowned architecture, wildlife and people. Come walk with us as we visit the James Scott Memorial Fountain, the Anna Scripps Conservatory, the Nancy Brown Peace Carillon Tower, only one of two marble lighthouses in the country, the Willian Livingstone Memorial Lighthouse, the oldest aquarium in the country, the Belle Isle Aquarium, and much more.

Did you know that:
• The road that circles Belle Isle changes names 4 times from the time you enter from the MacArthur Bridge to the time you exit the island? Sunset Dr., The Strand, Lakeside Dr., Riverbank Dr.
• Belle Isle was designed by the same landscape architect that designed New York’s Central Park and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Frederick Law Olmsted.

You can download and listen to the tour at any time. It’s best to download BEFORE you go out to Belle Isle, it’s a large file and takes time. With it, you can learn firsthand more about the history of Belle Isle while you go along the island and take in its beauty.
