Photo Walk Description
Welcome to Worldwide Photowalk in Winnipeg, brought to you courtesy Henry’s Photo Video. This year Dave Benson is the photowalk leader. Dave works at Henry’s on Kenaston and is a School of Imaging Instructor. Dave will be supported by staff from the stores as well as a couple guests.
This year’s walk will meet at The historic centre of Winnipeg in The Forks Market. We will enjoy a leisurely stroll in the The Forks and St Boniface historical district, and with good luck we may even be able to enjoy the river walk. We are also looking at the possibility of a sharing a cup of coffee and debrief following the walk… details to follow…
I also wish to announce that Andrea Hardy, Manager of Henry’s Photo Video Kenaston Common is the Co-Leader of this walk… Thanks Boss…
We will be looking at booking a “coffee and cookies” sharing session at Henry’s Kenaston one evening later in October to share photos and stories… stay tuned for details….
…and we will have a few lenses for you to try out… get a chance to see what those ultra wides or 2.8′s can really do… and ALMOST FULL as of 2:00pm today…
OFFICIALLY FULL….in less than a week… we will monitor and names from wait list will be added if there are any cancellations…
The Wait List is now short… but waiting… if you have registered and are unable to attend, please either remove yourself, or send me a note so we can insure those waiting will be able to participate.
Just completed a pre-walk today… looking gorgeous around The Forks…
Don’t forget there is lots of FREE 3 hour parking, just north of the TV Station and in the parkade adjacent to the Scotia Stage and skate board park…

THE CONTEST DEADLINE IS APPROACHING… If you wish to enter a photo into the Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk Contest you only have until Oct 7th, 12:00 NOON Eastern Time to submit your photo… we have ten submissions so far, and after the deadline you will be able to see the images that have been entered.
SO….. check your photos and upload your favourite shot… local winners are eligible for a free Scott Kelby book…. check the Kelby website for details on the worldwide grand prize… Andrea and Dave
So either I can’t read, or type accurately, or there has been a change… deadline for submission of your entry into the contest is October 10th 12:00 EDT… sorry for the confusion… Good news is if you missed the Oct 7th date… you have 3 more days…

Monday, Oct 10th NOON EDT (11:00 am our time) is deadline for submission of your photo for consideration for the Kelby contest.. we have 18 so far… and they should become visible to everyone sometime after the deadline passes…
Thanks for the entries into the Kelby Contest… A selection committee will select the winner by Wednesday… Andrea and Dave

Reminder that our follow-up event will be coffee and cookies at Henry’s 1580 Kenaston in the Kenaston Common on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 pm. Please RSVP to Dave via “Contact Leader” button, or email: davebenson(at)shaw.ca by midnightish Saturday October 18th so we can plan and “prepare”.
