Photo Walk Description

Hi Walkers. Wilmington continues to change and our walk and photos should reflect these changes. We will meet on the Federal Building steps for a quick photo, get a copy of the route and begin the walk. Be prepared to shoot in differing light that might be challenging at times. Of course the weather will determine just how challenging it will be. A tripod might be handy for the sunset, but you could always stabilize your cameral on the railing of the walk if needed. We will gather at The George afterwards to celebrate the day and enjoy some fine food and drink. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on the 2nd.

  • Wilmington Walks Again

Hi Wilmington Walkers. For the second year in a row, we have a full compliment of 50 walkers, and with a waiting list. We will meet just a few steps from the intersection of Water and Market Streets at the Waterfront. I would like to get a photo of everyone on the steps of the Federal Building (near the fountain). As you know, this is where so many episodes of Matlock took place. At that time I will provide everyone with a route through the downtown area. Of course, you may go at your own pace. When you submit your images, they should be taken somewhere on the official route.

We will end the walk on the river walk in front of the George Restaurant. Sunset is at 6:22 PM, so plan to arrive a few minutes before and stay for the afterglow.

We will gather in the bar at The George and then move to an extra long table on the deck (weather permitting) for dinner or snacks. I would like to survey the group during the group photo, to see how many are planning to eat so that I can give the management a heads-up.

We are going to have a great time. Downtown Wilmington is always changing and I’m sure it will be a fun time for all. See you on Sunday, October 2, at 3:30 PM at the Federal Building Steps on Water Street.

And… if for some reason you are unable to attend, please let me know and I will delete your name so that someone on the cue can join us.

    Rich
